The Virgoe family has made it a personal commitment to bring an end to street racing and help eliminate further road tragedies by pursuing tougher sentences for those convicted of street racing or criminal negligence causing death when behind the wheel of a car.

The family plans to petition the provincial and federal justice systems for change and introduce mandatory sentences for these crimes to send a clear message to drivers who even consider indulging in such reckless behaviour. It will not be tolerated.

The Virgoe family does not want another family to endure what they have. The loss of David to everyone who knew him is immeasurable. He was stolen.

Debbie Virgoe does not want David's death to be forgotten or be in vain.
